Eunice Ravudolo of Christian Mission Fellowship won gold in the junior girls shot put with a throw of 9.84 metres at the HFC Bank Stadium today.
Ravudolo who hails from Vanuatu and has maternal links to Vanuabalavu, Lau says she is happy because she did not make it in the discus event yesterday and she tried her utmost best to win in the shot put event today.
Ravudolo dedicated the win to her dad and late mum and attributed her success to her coaches for always standing by her and pushing her to the limits.
Livia Lomani of Adi Cakobau School got the silver with a throw of 9.42 metres, while Ro Miriama Muakalou took the bronze medal with a throw of 9.26 metres.
