Ratu Navula are new U18 Western Zone champs and will meet MGM in national quarters

Ratu Navula College are the new U18 Vodafone Deans Western Secondary School Rugby champion after they defeated former Western Zone champ Cuvu College 18-6 at Lawaqa Park.

This means that they will face off with the runner up from the Southern Zone competition Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School next week.

Ratu Navula Manager, Mijieli Bulu says the boys were determined to take home the Koicalevu Trophy despite losing two games to Cuvu during the pool games.

Ratu Navula scored a converted try to lead 7-0 at the break.

Cuvu scored first in the second half through a penalty kick to keep them within reach at 7-3.

Ratu Navula extended their lead with an unconverted try and two penalties while Cuvu added another three points from a penalty.

In other results, Ra High School beat Ratu Navula College 13-10 in the U14 final, the U15 of Sigatoka Methodist College defeated Natabua High School 35-23, the U16 of Fiji Pine Ba Provincial Freebird Institute beat Ba Methodist College 18-10 and Rt Navula beating Natabua High School 23-19 in the U17 final.

Meanwhile, Natabua High School beat Jasper Williams 22-17 to become the Weet-Bix Western U18 Raluve champion while Sigatoka Methodist College thumped Votualevu College 26-10 to be the U16 Raluve champ.
