Rasaku and Veilawa named in Fiji 7s team for Singapore 7s

Kaminieli Rasaku and Terio Veilawa have forced their way back into the Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s side for next week’s HSBC Singapore 7s.

Both players were sidelined in previous tournaments due to injuries.

Veteran forward Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Pilipo Bukayaro, and speedster Iowane Teba have also been named in the 14-member squad.

Other players that have been named include Joseva Talacolo, Viliame Naikausa, Manueli Maisamoa, Rubeni Kabu, Vatemo Ravouvou, Joji Nasova, Ropate Rere, Filipe Sauturaga and Ponipate Loganimasi.

The Fiji Men’s 7s will take on the USA at 5:14pm next Friday in their first match, they will meet Great Britain at 10:30pm next Friday and play Ireland at 5.37pm next Saturday in their last pool match. The Men’s quarter finals will start at 11pm next Saturday, the semi finals will begin at 5.48pm next Sunday, and the final will be held at 10.21pm next Sunday.
