Rankings peak 'changes nothing' for Fiji at the Rugby World Cup - Raiwalui

Fiji Water Flying Fijians Head coach Simon Raiwalui says his side's record ranking of seventh has no impact on their preparation for the Rugby World Cup.

After last Sunday's historic win over England, the Pacific islanders have moved up to seventh place as they prepare to start their tournament against Wales on September 11.

Raiwalui told reporters that it changes nothing for them, and they haven't thought about the rankings.

He says they have been taking one game at a time, and since the preparation started, they had a goal of improving every week.

He adds the objective and goal doesn't change.

Fiji will kick off its World Cup campaign against Wales at 7am next Monday.

The RWC kicks off on Saturday with hosts France taking on New Zealand at 7.15am.
