Raiwaqa man still in a coma almost 9 days after alleged hit and run

A 31-year-old Raiwaqa man is fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit at the CWM Hospital, more than a week after being involved in an alleged hit and run.

The alleged incident occurred in Raiwaqa on the 8th of this month which has left Sunia Koroi in a coma.

Koroi’s brother, Taniela Tikoiserene has told Legend FM News that Koroi was trying to cross the road when he was allegedly hit by the taxi.

He claims the taxi driver did not stop after the incident and his brother was taken to the hospital with the assistance of neighbours.

Tikoiserene says the whole family is still in a state of shock and they are trying to come to terms with what has happened.

He says they are just praying and hoping that Koroi gets well as soon as possible.

We are currently trying to get confirmation from police if any arrest has been made in relation to the alleged incident.
