Radrodro calls on parents, communities, the Vanua and the church to raise awareness on bullying

With bullying becoming a significant concern in every school around the country, the Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro is calling on parents, communities, the Vanua and the church to ensure children in their communities are molded with good values.

While responding to fijivillage News, Radrodro says this is nothing new, and there is a process that should be undertaken with the schools.

He says the Ministry does not encourage bullying in schools.

Radrodro says it is not only the responsibility of the teachers but also the students, parents, the community, the Vanua, and the church to create awareness on bullying.

Meanwhile, fijivillage News had received reports on the rise in bullying cases, particularly in primary schools in Suva.

Concerned parents have reported that some students have medical health conditions, and if they are being bullied constantly in school, the welfare and lives of their kids are at stake.

The concerned parent says if some children are into peddling drugs in school, it is just a matter of time before an innocent child will lose his life through related bullying.
