Minister for Home Affairs, Pio Tikoduadua

As the Prime Minister and other government ministers visit Queen Elizabeth Barracks tomorrow, Minister for Home Affairs, Pio Tikoduadua says the RFMF is a united body under the Commander who has full command of the Force and the government has full confidence in Commander Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai.

Tikoduadua says he is discouraging people from insinuating certain things as there are certain bloggers and fake pages who claim things would happen but nothing has happened and nothing was ever meant to happen.

Tikoduadua says the relationship between the RFMF and the Fijian Government is good and he has assured the people that Fiji is in good hands of the government and the RFMF, the police and all of security agencies are keeping this country safe.

RFMF Commander, Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai says Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is the elected Prime Minister and the choice of the people.

He says the RFMF has held the tradition that it will invite the Prime Minister, the President and the Minister because they are obligated and it is their responsibility.

When questioned about the relationship between the RFMF and the Government, the Commander asks what more assurance do people need than the Prime Minister visiting the RFMF and the Minister for Home Affairs visiting them almost every week.
