The Republic of Fiji Military Forces has stepped in to assist the Ministry of Health in preparing meals for around 400 patients at the CWM Hospital since last Friday.

The Incident Management Team had requested assistance from the RFMF after CWM Hospital kitchen staff had tested positive for COVID-19.

The RFMF say all the rations were provided by the Ministry of Health and prepared at the Other Ranks Mess at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks.

They say the Logistic Support Unit was tasked in the preparation of these meals in addition to their primary role of supporting all deployed troops around the country.
