Republic of Fiji Military Forces Staff Sergeant Iowane Naivalurua Tulele has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for each of his 32 counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception, and he will also be discharged from the RFMF after serving his prison term.
While sentencing Tulele, General Court Martial President Commander Netani Sukanaivalu says that Tulele will serve his sentence concurrently.
He was given a two year non-parole period.
The incidents happened between the 8th of October 2015 to the 11th of February 2016 at Berkley Crescent.
The amount involved was close to $40,000.
