Queen Elizabeth has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace says Queen Elizabeth is experiencing "mild cold-like symptoms" but expects to continue "light duties" at Windsor over the coming week.

BBC News reports Queen Elizabeth who is 95-years-old had been in contact with her eldest son and heir Prince Charles who tested positive last week.

According to BBC News, a number of people have tested positive at Windsor Castle, where the Queen resides.
