Punja complies with Decree and resigns

Fiji Television Limited has today announced the resignation of businessman, Hari Punja from the Fiji TV board.

Punja's resignation is to ensure compliance of section 39 (4) of the Media Industry Development Decree wherein no person can hold directorship in two or more media companies.

Hari Punja was first appointed to the Fiji TV board in 1996.

He represented Hari Punja and Sons Limited, a company that holds 12.6 percent shares in Fiji TV.

Chairperson, Isoa Kaloumaira said Punja's resignation is regrettable.
