Public requested to contact Police if they have any information on Victoria Parade robberies

A plea is being made by Police for people to come forward if they have any information or can identify people shown in a CCTV footage where people are being attacked and robbed along Victoria Parade in Suva.

The footage is being widely circulated online.

Police say anyone who has any information can call the Totogo Police Station on 9905834.

Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho has confirmed they are carrying out their investigations.

He has confirmed a spike in theft and robbery cases in the Suva and Nasinu areas and has directed operations reposture itself to effectively address concerns raised by members of the public and efforts are being made to identify those seen in the footage.

The CCTV footage shows a group of people cornering people walking along Victoria Parade at night, brutally beating them up and robbing them.

A group of people are seen grabbing people and another group come and punch them up and then rob them. They then run away.

Other people are seen walking past while the attacks continue.

Investigations continue.
