Micro, small, and medium enterprises are vital components of many economies, including Fiji's as they offer numerous job opportunities.
This has been highlighted by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad during the launch of the National Small and Medium Enterprise Awards 2023 in Suva this morning.
Professor Biman says SMEs are integral to the supply chain in any economy and it is very important to support them.
He also acknowledged the Fiji Development Bank’s role in assisting the MSME sector to thrive and to recognize them through awards.
Meanwhile, FDB Chief Executive Officer, Saud Minam says the awards eligibility criteria will be published on the FDB website soon.
