NFP Leader, Professor Biman Prasad

National Federation Party Leader, Professor Biman Prasad says he has been reassured by the police that there is no cause for concern and is condemning any attempt by anyone to create division, hate or any manner of alarm.

He says they believe that no one through social media or any other means should cause any kind of alarm or exaggerate what might or might not happen.

Professor Prasad says he thinks there is a sense of exuberance and excitement amongst the people but they are telling everyone, including those who did not support them that the elections is over and the constitutional process will take its course for the formation of the new government.

He says almost 58 percent of the people voted for the opposition parties which is a very clear signal that they did not vote for the ruling party and that is what democracy is about and it should be respected and people should move on.
