“The Prime Minister is well and resting.”
Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister Yogesh Karan has confirmed this to Fijivillage after questioned on the state of the health of the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
When asked on whether the Prime Minister has been hospitalised, Karan said he cannot confirm this but stated people do not need to worry about anything as Bainimarama is well.
He says people should not believe rumours about the Prime Minister that is circulating on social media.
Karan has not released further details.
