A preliminary Police investigation is underway after claims on Facebook that a man was allegedly assaulted by officers during curfew hours.
The post claims that officers allegedly picked up the man for breaching curfew and assaulted him in the process.
The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has directed the Internal Affairs Investigations Unit to look into the claims made.
Police are requesting anyone with information that could assist with investigations to call the Internal Affairs Office on 9905 627.
