Powerhouses ready for battle

The time has come for the two powerhouse rugby nations to fight for the most prestigious trophy.

For the All Blacks the message from their captain, Richie McCaw is simple, Leave nothing to chance.

McCaw is urging his All Blacks not to waste the opportunity of their 2011 Rugby World Cup Final against France.

McCaw and his team are just one game away from lifting the Webb Ellis trophy after overcoming Argentina and Australia in the knockout stages.

And with France now the only nation standing their path of ending their drought of 24 years, the flanker said it was now about 22 men doing a job.

McCaw was the captain four years ago when the All Blacks made their earliest departure from the Rugby World Cup, losing 20-18 to the French in Cardiff.

He said he had since learned more about his role as team leader.

But there are other All Blacks who have a lot to prove to the Rugby World and one of them is Piri Weepu whose task has doubled after the departure of Daniel Carter.

Weepu said it’s a very special night for the people of New Zealand.
