Police are currently working with health officials trying to identify the mother of the new born baby found at the Valelevu Health Centre.
Police say an investigation is underway after the baby was found inside the Valelevu Health Centre restroom yesterday.
The discovery was made by a woman in her 30s and the matter was reported at the Valelevu Police Station.
The baby is under the care of the Ministry of Health.
