Police will tighten their operations from now until school starts - Chew

As we are into the Christmas season Police will tighten their patrols in urban and remote areas for the safety of people.

While speaking to fijivillage News Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew says the ongoing operations for the festive period has been taking place in all the four divisions including their normal routine operations.

Chew says these operations will continue into the New Year until school starts.

He says the crime rate always increases during the festive season and police are trying their best to tackle such issues.

Chew is also requesting the public to work together with the police in controlling crime rates in our communities.

Chew adds that 180 police will pass out next week.
