Police are expected to question a 28-year-old man of Wailevu today who allegedly caused the death of a 54-year-old farmer of Naweni Village, Savusavu yesterday.
The farmer died following a motor vehicle accident that occurred between Dromoninuku and Viani Village Road in Savusavu early yesterday.
The victim who was walking along the road at around 2am was allegedly hit by a taxi driven a 28-year-old man.
The suspect is still in custody and it is alleged that he was driving under the influence of alcohol when the alleged incident occurred.
