Police still investigating two separate cases of baby deaths

Police are investigating two separate cases of baby deaths with the most recent case reported at Suva Point on Saturday.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the baby’s body was found by a 32-year-old Security officer who resides in Wailea St, Vatuwaqa.

While looking for herbal medicine, the security officer noticed a bag on the beach and picked it up and found the newborn baby wrapped inside with a cloth.

This is the second case reported this month.

The body of a newborn baby was found at Luke Street in Nabua on the 19th of this month.
