Police steps up drug operations in red zone areas

Police have stepped up their drug operations as they have consistently conducted snap checks in areas that are tagged as red zones and it has led to the recent arrest of two people in Nadonumai.

Divisional Police Commander South, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Wate Vocevoce says the two people were arrested for two separate offences.

SSP Vocevoce says they will beef up operations in red zone areas like Nadonumai to get to the bottom of those peddling drugs. He is urging the community members to lodge official complaints so they can be investigated. The Divisional Police Commander has reminded members of the public that there is zero tolerance on drugs, and they will investigate if information is forthcoming through an official report.

Police are encouraging anyone with information to share it through 917 or the Crime Stoppers on 919.
