Police are now asking officials at health centers and hospitals to inform them if a woman comes forward with complications relating to child birth as they are still searching for the mother of the newborn baby boy who was found at a bus stop near Cautata Village in Tailevu on Monday morning.
The baby was found wrapped in a bed sheet by a passerby.
Investigators are also continuing their house to house inquiries.
