Divisional Police Commander West SSP Verani Nakauyaca has dismissed claims by Fiji Trades Union Congress General Secretary Felix Anthony that workers at Vatukoula Gold Mines were intimidated by Police Officers last Wednesday.
Nakauyaca says there was no intimidation and Police were only called to the work area last Wednesday after information that some workers had threatened to walk off their jobs.
Nakauyaca says this has been their only role in this situation.
