Police Chief Operations Officer ACP Maretino Qiolevu says that all Divisional Police Commanders have been directed to ensure all necessary school related operations are ready for the start of the academic year.
Qiolevu is also asking parents and guardians, as well as teachers and members of the public to work together to keep children safe.
This is being done to ensure students, parents and teachers are able to begin another school year with the assurance that operations such as school patrols are maintained in all school zones.
Term 1 of the 2019 School Year will start on Monday.
