Members of the Fiji Police Force, families and friends gathered early this morning to remember 13 fallen police officers as today marks Police Remembrance Day.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Sikeli Vuniwaqa said they commemorated the latest passing away of police officers since September last year.
He said while they paid tribute to their fallen officers, it is a time to reflect on their contribution and services to the country and learn from it.
Members of the Police Command will also visit various charity homes and orphanages today while the western and northern division will also hold their own commemoration to mark the day.
The commemoration was held at 5 this morning at the Ready Action Unit in Nasinu where the minister for Works Captain Timoci Natuva was Chief Guest.
