Police officers are moving around in different parts of Suva including Rewa Street in the mornings and evenings as concerns have been raised that some people going for walks and runs are being targeted by some men.

Fijivillage has received a report of a man badly beaten up by two men who targeted him along Rewa Street. The two attackers were dressed like they were out for their morning run but they attacked the man as they got close to him to grab his valuable items.

No report has been filed at the Police Station.

Police say they have patrols and are looking out for these incidents.

Following the complaints of grab and run incidents along Ratu Mara Road in Nabua, Police also confirm that they have set up CCTV cameras. This is to target those who may be involved in the grab and run incidents. CCTV cameras have also been installed in the Central Business District in Suva City which are connected to the Police National Command Centre.
