Police are now monitoring some massage parlours in the Central Division which they suspect are being used as brothels, following the implementation of the new anti-prostitution law.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Suliano Tevita has confirmed that an investigation has revealed that people have been given rooms in massage palours, for the purpose of prostitution.
Sergeant Tevita said they have launched a nationwide crackdown on illegal brothel operators following the implementation of the new anti-prostitution law which came into effect this month.
He revealed earlier that owners of hotels and motels will be taken to court if they are found giving rooms for the purpose of prostitution.
