Police may make a major breakthrough in their investigations in relation to a number of robberies and home invasions as it is suspected that the key people in the group behind these incidents have been apprehended.
It is believed that the five men who were arrested after the Distill outlet robbery attempt last Thursday night are also being investigated for nine other cases.
Police Commissioner, Ben Groenewald says he is now awaiting the update on the investigation.
Chief of Intelligence and Investigations, ACP Henry Brown earlier said that five masked men who were armed entered the Distill outlet in Flagstaff and threatened the staff on Thursday night.
ACP Brown adds that Commissioner Groenewald who was at the scene stepped forward and said that he is the Commissioner of Police and asked the robbers to stop what they were doing.
He got injured in the process.
The robbers fled in a taxi.
