Police are now looking into allegations of another case of police brutality at the Lautoka Police Station.
A 21 year old tertiary student of Ba is now seeking justice from the relevant authorities on what action will be taken against those policemen who allegedly assaulted him earlier this week.
Zamir Khan claims he was picked up by police on Monday and taken to the Lautoka Police Station on allegations of a car theft.
Khan said when he denied the allegation he was allegedly assaulted by two policemen and a civilian at the police station.
He added that he filed a complaint against the two policemen and the civilian.
Acting Police Commissioner Ravi Narayan has once again reiterated that he will not condone or entertain any officers who abuse their power while executing their duties.
In another case, two Police officers at the Lautoka Police station have been charged with disciplinary offences and suspended awaiting internal tribunal proceedings.
This follows an investigation into the alleged assault of a minor.
The findings of the internal investigation found that the two officers had allegedly breached police practices and procedures in dealing with a person kept in police custody.
