Police investigations continue for the bag of meth found in Yasawa

Police investigations continue for the bag that was found washed ashore in Yasawa on Monday that contained a white substance confirmed to be methamphetamine.

They are calling on villagers on the coastline of Yasawa, Malolo, and Mamanuca to be on the lookout and report any suspicious findings to police through the National Command Center on 9905-296 or the Western Division Command Center on 9905-457.

Assistant Commissioner of Police - Crime Mesake Waqa says the white substance has been tested and confirmed to be methamphetamine.

ACP Waqa says they are in the initial stages of the investigation and can't comment on the issue at this moment.
