Police investigates another case of sacrilege at a Hindu temple

Police are investigating another case of sacrilege at Gopal Sadhu Hanuman Gadi Mandir in Nakasi.

Police say the incident occurred between Thursday and Friday this week.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed a money box containing $10 was stolen while the wooden wardrobe containing the prayer items was forcefully opened.

This is the fourth temple break‑in case in the last few weeks as people also broke into the Vishnu Bhavan Temple in Sasawira, Nausori, Tirath Dham Temple in Votualevu, Nadi and a temple in Waila, Nausori late last month.

In other cases, swear words were written and idols were also damaged.
