Police increase presence in Wainibuku area

Police are now increasing their presence in the Wainibuku area in Nakasi through the Mobile Command Unit which has been stationed there from Friday.

The Mobile Command Unit has live CCTV cameras hooked up to the National Command Centre.

It is manned by the Police Special Response Unit.

Police have moved it to the Wainibuku area to assist in operations there.

The Eastern Division Community Policing teams will also be conducting house to house visitations in a bid to improve crime prevention initiatives in the area.

Over the past few weeks, the Mobile Unit was deployed in various locations in the Southern Division which includes Vatuwaqa, Mead Road in Nabua, and Veiraisi in Nadera.
