A team has been formed to conduct the investigations following the discovery of the body of a 27-year-old taxi driver at Waisali Hill in Savusavu with visible injuries yesterday morning.

Divisional Police Commander North SSP Kemueli Baledrokadroka says officers were again at the scene this morning.

Police are yet to classify the death as they wait for post-mortem exam results.

An eyewitness has told fijivillage News that he saw a trail of blood leading to the body on the hill. He also says the body had visible wounds.

Police had earlier confirmed the victim had failed to return home last night after driving his taxi.

They said the victim’s taxi was found abandoned at Waisali Hill near the water source, and a search conducted around the area led to the discovery of the victim's body further downhill.
