Residents from Makoi have raised concerns regarding drugs being sold near a major supermarket in the area, and some boys are also seen smoking marijuana at the location every day.

Acting ACP Chief Operations Officer Livai Driu says officers continue to monitor and patrol the area on a daily basis.

Driu says on many occasions, people have been taken to the Police Station on this issue.

He says a few people were also charged after being found in possession of illicit substances.

They would like to assure members of the community that there are plans to curb this issue and they require everyone’s support.
