Police continue investigation into theft in RKS

Police are still investigating a case of theft at Ratu Kadavulevu School where a student had allegedly stolen from another student in school.

This is the incident where the alleged thief was assaulted by the school head boy.

The head-boy was charged with assaulting a 17-year-old student and produced in court where he had pleaded guilty.

Police say the head boy had questioned another student regarding a case of theft in school, and then used a bamboo stick to hit the victim which caused bruises.

According to the RKS Old Boys Association, a Matanigasau was presented to the victim by the school Chaplin who was accompanied by the parents, guardians and the Teachers Association of the school.
