Police White to face Tabadamu in Fiji Bitter Marist 7s final

Police White at the elimations this morning.

Police White will face Tabadamu 1 in the final of the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s at the ANZ Stadium tonight.

Police White - the tournament’s top-ranked team defeated the Jerry Tuwai led FDS Barbarians 12-10 in the first semifinal.

The team has the services of current and former national 7s players like Waisea Nacuqu, Terio Tamani, Keponi Paul, Livai Ikanikoda, Apenisa Cakaubalavu and Samisoni Viriviri.

Tabadamu 1 sent the defending champions Police Blue home with a 17-nil win.

The Cup final of the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s is at 6.45 tonight.

1st semifinal

Police White and FDS Barbarians got two tries each.

Rusiate Matai and Sakeo Raloa scored for Police White while Kaminieli Rasaku scored a double for FDS Barbarians.

It was the missed conversion by the Barbarians that proved to be the difference in the match.

2nd semifinal

Tabadamu scored three tries in the match.

Police Blue could not find their rhythm in attack and struggled in defence.

Leo Naikasau, Daniele Cakaunivalu and Josevani Drava scored for Tabadamu.
