A Police officer who allegedly raped a woman at the Valelevu Police single men’s barracks last Sunday, has been charged with one count of rape.
Police say the accused will appear in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
Acting Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci reaffirms the organisation’s commitment to ensuring due processes are followed concerning any report lodged against a police officer, through the conduct of an internal or crime investigation, whereby independent legal advice is sought from the DPP about a criminal matter.
