The Fiji Police Force, National Fire Authority and Land Transport Authority were given care packs worth $130,000 by the FIJI Water Foundation to help implement Fijian Government’s COVID-19 safe plans.

Each care pack includes hand sanitizers, a set of face masks made locally by Sabeto based women’s non-profit ‘Rise Beyond the Reef’, and seeds for backyard gardening as well as 700ml FIJI Water sports cap bottles.

Receiving the care packs, Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says the care packs will help lighten the load of all police officers around the country, as they continue to do their best in helping steer Fiji forward to full economic recovery, one day at a time.

Fiji Police Force was given 4,443 care packs while the National Fire Authority received 651 care packs, and Land Transport Authority received 438 care packs.

Meanwhile, FIJI Water Foundation Manager Marie Smith says these care packs will ensure that all our police personnel, firefighters and LTA officials maintain the highest standards of health and operational readiness, especially during these trying times.
