Police Director Internal Affairs, Acting Senior Superintendent of Police Mohammed Talib Khan

Police Director Internal Affairs, Acting Senior Superintendent of Police Mohammed Talib Khan who has been charged with abuse of office has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.

It is alleged that on 13th April 2017 in Suva, Khan directed the unlawful arrest and detention of a person, in abuse of the authority of his office and which was an arbitrary act.

The court has granted him bail on $3,000 bail bond.

Khan has been ordered not to reoffend and not to interfere with the witnesses.

He has also been ordered to report to the Police Headquarters on Fridays between 8am to 4pm.

The court was informed that Khan has not been suspended from the Police Force.

The case has been adjourned to the 4th of December.
