Police Constable, Felicia Turaga says she is sometimes doubted to accomplish the job of a motorcyclist in the Southern Division Highway Patrol Unit but she has managed to overcome that.
While speaking about International Women’s Day, Turaga says it is a very challenging job but she manages to cope.
Turaga who is originally from Yawe in Kadavu says her job involves mobile patrol, conducting traffic awareness and traffic bookings on traffic offences.
She says there is nothing that is impossible and you can accomplish anything that you wish as long as you set your heart to it.
International Women’s Day will be celebrated tomorrow and the theme is ‘Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow’.
