Police and soldiers raided the house of a businessman of Baitikama, Labasa and confiscated some dried leaves believed to be marijuana and more than $35,000 cash.
Assistant Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that the raid followed the arrest of some people in Savusavu who were allegedly in possession of dried leaves.
Officers at Labasa were tipped off and soldiers and officers raided the house.
A suspect is being interrogated at the Labasa Police station.
It is believed that the businessman has been under surveillance for some time and is also being investigated in relation to the incident in Seaqaqa whereby a huge amount of marijuana leaves were found hidden in the tray of a truck.
The truck was later stripped to remove the marijuana.
