Plieger impressed with local pilots performances
The newly appointed Air Pacific CEO and Managing Director, Dave Plieger is currently being briefed on the number of local and expatriate pilots employed by the airline company.

Although Plieger cannot confirm at this stage on whether there will be a solid succession plan to take in more qualified and experienced local pilots from Pacific Sun to join Air Pacific, he confirmed that he is impressed with the performance of some of the Pacific Sun pilots.

Contracting of expatriate pilots has been a long-standing issue for Air Pacific, and the question has been raised numerous times on whether proper succession plans are in place to localize more pilot positions at Air Pacific.

Plieger said he has just started a few days ago and will make the necessary decisions after all his briefings.
