Planned power outage for Nadi to Lomawai tomorrow from 4.30am to 6pm

There is a planned power outage tomorrow for people lving along Queens Road from Nadi to Lomawai from 4.30am to 6pm tomorrow.

Energy Fiji Limited has planned maintenance on the 33kV Waqadra–Nawai–Momi Transmission Line and 11kV Tau, Momi, and Namaka Feeders weather permitting.

EFL says the maintenance will involve de-energising the transmission line between the Waqadra and Momi substations.

EFL says the works are critical for ensuring a safe and reliable electricity supply.

They say while every effort will be made to maintain supply, people may experience additional outages if unrelated faults occur.

They highlight that the works have been scheduled on a Sunday to minimise disruption to businesses along the Nadi–Maro corridor.

EFL has advised that if weather conditions are unfavourable, the works will be postponed and customers informed.

People are also reminded to treat all power lines as live and stay clear at all times.
