Fijians living in the Lami Area will need to leave their homes earlier while heading to work in Suva for the next 2-months after the Fiji Roads Authority has advised members of the public that the Water Authority of Fiji will be carrying out their mainline pipe relocation works at the Tamavua-I-Wai bridge this Sunday.

FRA says traffic management plan will be in place and all vehicles will be diverted to the widening area, allowing for the accommodation of two-lane traffic.

They say the adjustment is a crucial step to ensure minimal disruption to commuters and will facilitate the safe progress of the construction work while minimizing inconvenience for road users.

FRA has requested the cooperation and understanding of the public when they try to complete the necessary infrastructure improvements.

Schedule for these works is as follows:

Tee – Connection Lami side approach Date: Sunday 29th Oct 2023 Time: 8am to 10pm

Trenching works on the main carriageway Start Date: Monday the 30th of October 2023 Time: 9am to 6pm Duration: Approximately 2.5 months
