Perth 7s: Nasova scores a double as Fiji beat Kenya 21-14

Joji Nasova scored a double to assist the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side to seal their first win in the HSBC Perth 7s tournament after defeating Kenya 21-14.

The Kenyans started on a high with two converted tries from Nygel Pettersan Amaitsa and Samuel Asati to lead 14-0.

Fiji bounced back through Nasova’s first try in the final minutes of the first half to close the gap to a 14-7 game.

Joseva Talacolo and Nasova scored a try each in the second half to seal Fiji’s win.

Meanwhile, Fiji lost to Uruguay 24-17 in their first pool match.

Fiji will take on New Zealand at 4.22pm today in their last pool match.

In other results, Uruguay beat New Zealand 17-14, Argentina defeated Australia 31-26, South Africa beat the USA 24-19, and Spain beat Great Britain 12-7.

The Men’s Cup quarter finals will kick off at 9.27 tonight, the semi finals will be at 7.05pm tomorrow, and the cup final will kick off at 11.35pm tomorrow.
