People of Navakuru in Cakaudrove have been urged to reduce deforestation and to plant more trees.
This was the plea made by the Minister for Forests, Osea Naiqamu as he continues his tour of the Northern Division today.
Naiqamu told the villagers of Navakuru that they can contribute in the fight against climate change by simply planting more trees and preventing unnecessary logging.
Naiqamu says that our inconsiderate behavior towards our environment has triggered flooding and other natural disasters in the country.
The Minister for Forests continues his one week Northern Tour and he will be visiting Kubulau in Bua tomorrow.
