“Lumi” is seaweed which is extracted from the deep sea beds in the Fiji waters and is sold in the local markets for consumption.
However some villagers in the Rewa province are making a living.
They plant it on a cycle basis and every week it is harvested.
Provincial Adminstrator Rewa, Ravindra Narayan said it has greatly helped the families.
