The Nadi Weather Office is advising people not to take any chances and those living in flood prone areas to take precautionary measures now as flooding is expected tonight and tomorrow.
Director, Alipate Waqaicelua said they are also monitoring the levels of the main rivers in Fiji.
A strong wind warning is now in force for all land areas around the country.
A low pressure system remains slow moving over the group and is expected to intensify into a Tropical Depression by tomorrow.
More strong winds and occasional heavy rain is expected for whole of the Fiji group tonight.
Meanwhile, a second tropical depression is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone as it nears Fiji on Sunday.
