People living in Lami and parts of Suva to expect water disruptions from today

Thousands of people living in Lami and parts of Suva are expected to face water disruptions from today.

This temporary interruption in water supply is due to low raw water inflow from the Savura and Waimanu Pumping Stations to Tamavua Water Treatment Plant.

The low water inflow is a result of low rainfall.

Areas affected include Delainavesi to Togalevu Naval Base, parts of Samabula, Nailuva Road, Rewa Street, Ratu Sukuna Road, Howell Road, Lakeba Street, Bureta Street, Princes Road from Tamavua Village to Khalsa Road, Deoji Street, Ki Street, Waimanu Road, Kikau Street, Lagilagi Housing and Kula Street.

The Water Authority of Fiji says their engineers and technical teams are working to maintain operations at the pumping stations and reservoirs to sustain water levels in service reservoirs.
